As the Internet keeps growing on a daily basis, new websites keep emerging that are making it so easy for media to get there story attention around the world. Syndicaster is adding several online distribution options for local TV stations, including the ability to publish video clips to YouTube, AOL (via Brightcove), Yahoo and other sites. Syndicaster is an online video-clip management service that allows TV stations to broadcast news clip on the Web by publishing it to their own Websites or through its sister service ClipSyndicate.

To make life more easier for the news networks,  Syndicaster is adding one-click distribution options to the major video sites so that local TV affiliates or station groups can post their videos to AOL Money & Finance or their YouTube channel, and manage it all from one place. Looking at it from a viewers point of view I have found a great excellent benifit to all of this. One now has the ability to set embargo windows for each service, allowing a TV station to publish hot news immediately to its own site, then 24 or 36 hours later to video partner sites where it makes the most money, and then maybe finally to YouTube.

If you are a TV Reporter or part of the crew, Syndicaster has also recently added an on-location feature which allows you to upload clips directly from wherever you are capturing the footage, and making that footage available as Web video clips even if it never gets a second of airtime. Affiliated stations can also go to Syndicaster to find footage and use it either on the Web or on-air, depending on their arrangements with each other.  A few months back when that airplane crashed in Buffalo, NY recently, a local station put all of its footage on Syndicaster, and other affiliated stations around the country used it to grab video footage for their own on-air reports.

Have a product or website that you have just launched….but what is next? Getting to the top of Google is a great step for quality exposure from people all around the world. Once you identify the main purpose of your website, you then have to research and ‘predict’ what you believe all the different type of phrase combination’s (keywords) one would type into Google.

If you already have a domain name, skip to “Journey to the top”….other wise I will walk you step by step on choosing a great ‘niche’ to market.

KEYWORD RESEARCH

Let’s say your website was going to be a forum/ product about ‘Learning to breakdance“.  Google has a great keyword tool that will help you find great combination’s based on past searches done by people.

1. Goto https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

2. Enter keywords / phrases on each line, answer the security word to prevent spam, and press ‘Get keyword ideas’. For this example I typed ‘Learn breakdance‘

3. My rule of thumb is to always use the Top 5 results then scrolling down to ‘Additional Keywords’…and using Top 5 results from that. Giving you 10 solid keywords. Based on what I searched below is the keyword list I am going to use:

learn to breakdance, learn breakdancing, learn breakdance, learn how to break dance, learn breakdance moves, breakdance lessons, breakdance step by step, breakdancing video, break dance moves, how to break dance video.

Now that I have my keywords and ideas, it is time to verify that it is a popular search term, but not over popular to the point where the competition is going to not make traffic to your website effective.

FINDING A POWERFUL DOMAIN NAME

Most people always do this step backwards. They think of the idea or product they wish to market , then they buy a domain name for it. That is wrong. When direct marketing you have to seek out what product people are hungry for…starving for even….then bring it to them on a silver platter. So based on the keywords you researched …. check each keyword phrase into Google and seek its popularity.

This is done by going to http://www.Google.com and searching each phrase. For example:

‘learn to break dance video’ produced 1,900,000 results. Almost 2 million! My personal rule to judge if this is a good ‘niche’ to have is a phrase result between 200,000 – 3million results. That range showcases it is a popular term, however still has great room to smash the other competition and bring your website to the top. So now it is time to purchase your domain.

My friends at http://instantdomainsearch.com/ provide a great fast tool to see if your domain is available. By search ‘Learn To Break Dance Video’……it does find that the .com, .net, and .org for the domain is available, yay!

Download and Install Word Press from http://wordpress.org/latest.zip

Once installed login to the admin panel and search for ‘SEO’ in the plugins. Install ‘All in 1 SEO’. Apply all the keyword we established prior to the keyword section. Once you have established your keywords, you now want to come up with a statement sentence that best describes your website. This will be seen by all on Google, so make sure it is to the point. For this example I used

‘Learn how to breakdance using our instructional videos and course lessons.’ It is now time to make some posts about your idea or product…and make sure in all your articles you include many of the keywords from above so that the Google Spider can grade your site as quality matierial.

Now you have a blog on your domain….lets get it popular!

JOURNEY TO THE TOP

-URL SUBMISSION

With your website established you want to tell Google that you have a website and want to be apart of the fun!  This is done by visiting:

-Backlinks

The process of URL Submission takes days, so lets speed up the process shall we? I mean we do not have all day here right?!…Right! Backlinking simply is a process that drops your domain name onto very popular websites that have tons of traffic each day. Google crawls them on an hourly basis, and the more Google recognizes your link on these websites…the easier you will make your way up to the top!

Instead of listing 20 to 30 places to seperately signup for and drop your link…I have found a great free website that does it all for you SocialMarker. My friend Craig told me about this..great stuff

Visit http://www.SocialMarker.com Under Bookmark details type the name of your site, the domain, and keywords in the ‘text’ & ‘tag’ field.  Then select the top 10-15 sites below to join. I personally use Propeller, Digg, Reddit, Fark, Furl, Connotea, Indianpad, Jumptags, OYAX and Mixx. Yes you need to join each of these once…but after that the process is nice and fast. Last week I bought MegaRedPacketX.com and just by submitting it to Digg.com alone I was on the first page of Google in 4 hours!!! So you can see the half an hour of work it takes to sign up and submit to ALL of those websites is definitely worth it..as combined, they get millions of visitors and hour!

Another great way to get on backlinks is to watch tv for dating websites. Such as Eharmony, or even health ones like WebMD. You know they are popular and paying big advertising dollars if their domain name is a commercial on a popular tv network. Goto these websites and see if you can signup free for them. http://www.WebMd.com allows you to. Once you sign in you can then make a profile…and in the profile it asks for a domain….type your domain and save your profile. Just by doing that within hours Google will crawl that domain and give you even more quality points to move your domain on up!

Youtube! You can visit http://www.YouTube.com and analyze what are the most popular videos being watched lately. Then make similar videos with similar titles…but add annotations with your website URL throughout the video. Also in the ‘description’ and ‘tags’ of the video put your website url and keywords(along with the keywords of the popular video)…and you will get 1000’s of views a day. I notice a 5-10% conversion rate from Youtube videos so that great free traffic that will definitely move up your Google rank also.

With those simple concepts you should be heading to the top of Google in no time. In later posts I will provide some other great premimum tips to teach you how to ‘keep your spot’ on the front page and keep that profit rolling in!

……..Where to start right?

For those who don’t know me …well I am not going to over brag about how awesome I am….mostly everyone knows that anyways …and now that you read that self conceeded tidbit…you know now as well . In all seriousness tho…..with the downtime I have definitely built up my music studio to where I want it to be now. Recently I invested in an Digital Camera (*the crowd goes wild*)….so I will be posting my current setup and progression of it as time goes by. (*Oo0o0o please tell us more about the camera*)….well it takes video too….so this summer I am going to try and break my 65K view record from Youtube! I have also launched LaRoccaDigital(My music label)…even tho it has no homepage…behind the scenes it has a lot of my upcoming material and some past great mixes & tracks also. I will do my best to keep updated on that too.

Since the winter was so bitter cold I decided to get back into Internet Marketing. A few of my ‘Auto Blogs’ definitely flipped a nice profit…and when I have some more time(wait what the ^&%& is time?!)….I will be creating more of those too. In the mean time I am now working with a few different coaches in different avenues to bring me up to speed with Web2.0 Marketing techniques (both Black & White hat)….and I will keep you all updated on that progress and offer insight on how we can all profit together
